Stuart began his career at the National Australia Bank, spending five years in banking including two years based in Murwillumbah, before moving into accounting. He joined Watson & Fenton in Tweed Heads in 1999 as a GST Coordinator, migrating into a tax accounting role in 2001. From there he moved to Rutherfords (now Findex) in 2003, then to Grant, Kerrison & Threlfall, now Grant & Brady, in 2004, becoming a partner in 2006. It was, as he puts it, a big leap of faith. One he’s never regretted.

At Lumos, Stuart works with a wide mix of clients, investors, tradies, builders, doctors, retail businesses and service providers, and is known for responding quickly, speaking plainly and making sure clients actually understand the advice they’re given. His philosophy is straightforward: great advice creates real value. It saves tax, improves cashflow, helps businesses scale or builds the foundations they need to grow.

For Stuart, the integrated model at Lumos matters because it means no adviser is working in isolation. The knowledge and resources of the whole team are available to every client, and that’s what makes the advice better.
